Universal Safety Device Adapts to Many Machines

NEPS, Inc. manufactures a non-electronic presence sensing device. NEPS' design and construction results in a truly universal device, with all the benefits of one standard unit to install, maintain and adjust.

NEPS units provide the ultimate in flexibility. One standard unit of modular construction accepts various input and output modules adapting it to air, electric or mechanically operated machines. They may operate from a mechanical input but send an electric or air output signal - or vice versa. Their unique design allows them to be mounted either above or below, to the left or right, of the point of operation.

These units operate by allowing a sensing ring or enclosure to drop by gravity around the point of operation prior to each intended machine stroke. If the sensing probe encounters an operator's fingers, the tripping signal is not only avoided, but mechanically locked out via NEPS' patented interlock mechanism.

The rugged construction insures the durability and long life of the units. Sensing rings and arms are formed of aluminum flat stock, no bent wire probes, and are rigid and adjustable in length.
